My Kenmore Elite dryer has just started flashing the F2 error code & won't turn on to dry. Does anyone know what this means or where I could find out?

Not sure what the F2 code means. But I know that lots of people have had problems with error codes. Call the main 1-800 number for Sears repairs and they should be able to tell you what the code means.

If you are looking at an expensive repair due to failure of computer parts, you should know that you are not alone. The appliance manager at my local Sears informed me that Sears corporate is aware that there are many problems with the Kenmore Elite washers and dryers-- especially frequent are problems with the electronics. Even if you did not buy the extended warranty, Sears will probably allow you to return the Oasis for credit towards another model at their store. You need to talk to the appliance manager or the store manager at your local Sears. If they are not helpful, call the corporate Customer Service at 1-800-927-7836. (Have your receipt handy, they will need dates, dollars, model#)

Go to the Sears website and under parts type the model#, and hit enter. Then type manual and it will cost you $2.30. In the manual all service codes are explained.
