Im pregnant but don't know who the dad is
Hi I'm currently pregnant and when I had a scan the doctor told me the exact date of conception which is the 11th January, at this time I was having regular unprotected sex with my partner, although on the Monday the 7th I had unprotected sex with my ex but the sex only lasted about 5 minutes and he didn't ejaculate at all, what are the chances of my ex being the father considering the circumstances? Please help me and advise me on what to do.. if the baby is my ex's I can't go through with the pregnancy because I love my partner dearly and that one time with my ex was a stupid mistake... I have looked into pre-natal DNA testing but its so expensive and I can't afford it...

    Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!

    Lol...

Actually, sperm can be found in pre-ejaculation. So it could be his. Definitely get the DNA test.

The way I see it is that you have to make choices here

    1. If your current partner does not know about the 'quickie' and you don't want him to know, you could either have the baby and live a lie, or opt for an abortion and try to have a child with him again at some later time.

    2. If your ex finds out he might demand rights as a father - which will worsen your current relationship.

    3. You might be lucky and have a trusting and truthful relationship with both and it might turn out with minimal stress.

    4. You could wind up being a single parent without both men and might have to start your life over again with other goals.

So, you have a lot to think about and get straight.. even thinking of getting a loan to have the test done.. But, either way - the men involved will find out in the longrun.

I'm sure that you already have thought of all the above, and I really can't tell you what to do.. I just hope all works out well for you dear.

    Good Luck.

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_11_2.gif I would confess and hope for the best and accept and cope with what comes. It is not the baby's fault and deserves a chance.. so seriously think this through.

At the very least be honest with your partner. He has a stake in all this to. Don't compound a mistake with lies, and deceit.

Got to spread it again Tal, but I needed to let you know that I agree that lies and deceit never helped anyone solve an issue - especially one like this.

    Hi Maddy 198,

I agree with them all... you should be honest the truth will eventually come out! The test is a good idea.

I was told by my GP that my date of contraception was 1.5 weeks earlier than what it was. I know the date (my partner had an accident) so I know when I conceived. Another lady on the site had the same thing... I was concerned about having a monster of a baby! So who knows!

The truth may come out though... may be worth doing the DNA test and finding out?
