    Toilet Flange too high
I'm replacing my toilet. For the toilet I bought the floor waste flange is too high. Old house and it would be difficult to lower waste pipe from underneath. Any suggestions?

First thing we should do is move you over to plumbing, many plumbers don'r read the construction site. Tell us what's different between the old and new toilet that makes the flange too high. How does the top face of the flange compare to the top surface of the floor.

The older toilet had a deeper seat in the toilet base then the newer toilets. It's only about 1/2 in off but in looking at all the new toilets the base is very shallow.

Old toilet had a deeper base to accept the waste pipe.

"How does the top face of the flange compare to the top surface of the floor?" Can you put a straight edge on the floor and tell us how much the falnge sticks above the fllor surface. I have a hunch you are going to be just fine.
