I've painted my heavily-textured bathroom walls an impossibly bright orange. I was going for a burnt orange. It's a royal pain to paint these walls, due to the texture (especially the cut-in). What can I do to burnish the surface without completely repainting?

Without having to cut in again you could do one of those sponge applications with a toned down colour. If you explain your problem at the paint store, they could probably give you a colour that would accomplish that.

I had the same problem with a wall that my husband picked out the color on and I went over it with a "leather saddle" color from Wal-Mart I kind of idd te faux finish over the orange, I turned out loving that hidious orange wall...
