I might be 7 weeks pregnant why am I getting negitives?
I believe that I am pregnant and I am almost 20 days late. I took a clear blue test about an hour ago and the result is not pregnant. I've taken 3 other tests one on the 7th one on the 11th and one on the 20th all negative. (first resopnse test) I plan to take the next test on the 7th of next month. Could something be wrong since I'm getting negitives? I'm kind of worried. Is this normal considering if I am I would be 7 weeks tomarrow??

Its very possible that you are simply late, or have completely missed your cycle. Its not uncommon. I was once 2 months late for seemingly no reason at all, and then started right back up like normal. However, it is possible that you are pregnant, and your hcg levels simply aren't high enough to register on an hpt. I would suggest that you wait for your next period, if it doesn't come, take a qualatative blood test at your local hospital (this typically runs at only about $10) these are inexpensive, and more accurate. However, they only give negative or positive test results, so if your hcg levels still aren't high enough to register, you may still come up with a negative. Either way, once you have missed two periods, its time to see your doctor, whether you think you are pregnant or not. You doctor will likely do an exam, and most likely a quantative blood test. This test is the most accurate test for pregnancy, as it measure the exact amount of hcg in your blood system. If pregnancy is suspected, the test will be repeated with in a few days to see if the numbers are doubling, as they should in a normal healthy pregnancy. For now, you'll have to just wait it out for a bit. You could always go see your doctor right now, but doctors typically won't do a quantative blood test until you have missed more then one period. Good luck.

To add to what everyone else said, what time of day are you taking the tests? They are more accurate first thing in the morning with first morning urine.

If you are taking them in the afternoon or evening they may be showing a false negative because the concentration of the pregnancy hormone, hCG, is lower in concentration.

You could possibly just be late/missed your period. Are you having any symptoms of pregnancy besides the missed period? A couple of months ago I missed a period. But on the 2nd month of it being late, I started. I really thought I was pregnant even though the numerous tests I took were negative. If you really want to know.. make an appt. with the dr. I don't know if this helps, but I just wanted to let you know what I've been through.

    Good luck!

I am now 24 days late and if I am indeed pregnant then I am 7 weeks and 4 days. I started spotting earlier yesterday around 6pm but it stopped completely at by 11:00pm it was really really light pink and whitish. I took two more tests today a early ept and a first response and both came out negitve still.

Wait for your next period(it should be coming soon, correct?). If it doesn't come, you know what to do, see your doctor. Good luck, let us know whether it comes or goes. But do keep in mind, that stressing over whether you will start or not, whether you are pregnant or not, will possibly throw your cycle off, if you aren't pregnant.

If you are really concerned or worried you should visit you GP! They will be able to do a blood test and confirm it straight away!

Buggage is right... If your stress about it, it can throw your cycle off! I have never known anybody to be so unlucky with HPT so I would go to your doctor straight away.
