Do I have to show my roommate my lease?
I moved into a 2 bdrm condo in August 2007 and advertised for a roommate. I found a roommate responded and moved in in November 2007. My roommate signed a lease with me in November, but is now asking me to see my lease, (that is the lease that I signed before she moved in). My roommates name is not on the lease. She wants to see how much rent I pay to the property owners. She agreed to pay a certain amount which included utilities, which she has been doing. My question is am I obligated to show her the lease that I signed for this property before I even met her?

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Nope. It's none of her business.

Hey Lisa congrats on post number 1000!

    Amatullah,
Tell her that you and her have a deal that she agreed to. Whatever deal you have with your landord is between you and the landlord and is none of her concern.

NO, you merely tell them your lease and what you pay is none of their business, that you and them made an agreement for rent to include electric, and even if you got the rent free, it did not change your agreement with them..
