I am employed in the UK. I have been wrongfully accused of opening a colleagues wageslip and have proof I did not do this. What action can I take against the person accusing me of this. Slander?

Don't know about the UK but you have to have damages or loses.

Well no but I have been told that I could be dismissed for this - its ongoing at the moment but I have witness to prove I did not do it. It is causing me a great deal of stress and I feel uncomfortable in this persons presence.
