I have a trepass summons (140.05) it is a first time offense. Im extremely curious/confused/nervous as to what will happen, i hear this kind of charge is frequently drop; when i appear at court how can i go about to have the charge dropped?

Its impossible for us to know what a judge will do, especially without knowing the circumstances around the charge.

In my area you go to Court, speak with the Assistant DA, he/she explains the charges and asks you guilty or not guilty, explains the possible ramifications, you go before a Judge. The Judge "usually" adjourns it to another date to give you an opportunity to hire an attorney.
I've seen the ADA drop the charges and have no second hearing scheduled.
Whatever is going to happen happens at the second hearing.
