    My water heater overflow drain is leakin continiously, how do I stop it?:confused:

    There several things that would cause your problem. This is the most likely. If you have a sprinkler system or a check valve or a backflow preventer installed on your water service line you will have to install a expansion tank on the cold water supply to the heater,(see image ).     Or a small piece of trash could have got under the seat. Try jiggling the handle and see if that helps. Or the valve could just be faulty.
    If that's the case then shut the power off an d drain the heater down pass the valve aqbd simply replace it. Good luck, Tom
