I need some help trying to figure out how to connect two hard drive towers together. And, can I make one for gaming and the other for internet use and college stuff?
Basically, I want one monitor.

I moved this to networking because I think that's what you are talking about. Lets get some terms straight first. A hard drive is a storage device used to store data and programs. A tower is a computer case that houses the motherboard (on which the processor sits), drives and other peripherals. I'm assuming you want to hook two computers together (not just the towers or the hard drives).
If you are looking to network two PCs to share the Internet and other resources, the common solution is a router. A broadband router connects multiple devices into a LAN (Local Area Network) so they can share the Internet and other resources.
You can use a device that connects more than one PC and mouse input and gives you one PC monitor out and one mouse output. I see them all the time in the network rooms. Not sure what you call them
The device you refer to is called a KVM (Keyboard-video-mouse) switch. It allows one set of a keyboard, monitor and mouse to control several computers by means of a switch.Quote:
