    Divorcing internationally
Hi, just hoping someone out there could help.
I have a friend who is married and resides in Mass USA. Although he is married there are no children conceived within the marriage. He is looking at moving to Australia as the marriage has broken down on many levels. He believes there is adultery although he cannot prove this... and the wife is very controlling. He is financially dependent whereas she's not. He financially supports his wife, his mother in law and his 3 step children and step grand child. I have looked unsuccessfully to gain some advice for him. He wants to become an Australian citizen when his passport and visa arrives and he hopes to get married there. Does anyone have any advice for me to pass on to him in regards to any divorce proceedings and rules and regulations of a divorce in Mass USA? And how soon a divorce can be applied for?
Thank you for your time :O)

He just has to find a lawyer and start proceedings and he should get this settled before he moves that far away. It would not be feasible to travel back to the States to have it done later on.

Fist running away will not solve his emotional problems of allowing others to take advantage of him. So he needs to divorce before he leaves the country. And he needs to stop already dreaming of getting remairried before he is even divorced.
