I would suspect it would have many different varitations. Here are some of the variables, is this a first offense, what is the worth of each item, what state the crime is committed, etc...

depends on a lot of things
    age?
    first offense or priors?
value? Over or under 5,000. 500.
    shoplifting?

    Hello z:

There's a lot more that goes into it than that. If it were that easy we wouldn't need judges. You've only given us one factor whereas the judge considers about 100.

By the way, if you stole 6 batteries, you're going to do less time than if you stole 6 airplanes.

Also are they making it six separate charges or will it be combained into one crime, What other pervious crimes were you convicted of.
Was force used, did it involve breaking in ?
I mean it can be probation to 15 years just depends on details

Felony or misdemeanor makes a HUGE difference in sentencing. Please be more specific.
