    Re-configuration of bathroom
I want to re-configure my bathroom. I want to keep the bath and sink but replace the toilet. What sort of expense should I expect from a plumber to do this. It's a small bathroom, 9ft by 8ft. I want to put the bath under the window where the sink and toilet are the moment and the sink and toilet where the bath is that the moment. Upstairs, floorboards on the floor (currently covered with lino). There is an adjoining huge cupboard on the landing and I want to put the shower in there instead and turn that into a shower cubicle, currently it is a tall walk-in cupboard. Thank you.

It is very difficult to give even a ballpark number since we do not know the labor rates in your area. Also, without seeing the house it is really hard to picture installing new drain lines and supply. A real rough number would be $6000

    Hey Debbie,
The word "upstairs" was used so I assume the bath's on the second floor. You're going to have a big mess. The ceiling will have to come out for the plumber to reconfigure the drainage. Get three estimates before letting out the contract. Pick the one you're moist comfortable with. This isn't always the lowest bid. Good luck, Tom
