97 Honda Civic does not start after alarm
    Hi,

I have a 97 Honda civic. When I opened my car with keys, it made weird sound ( like the anti-theft alarm, but different tone). Then when I tried to start the car it wouldn't start. I have tried several times, but couldn't get it working. Can somebody please tell me if it is the alarm systam or the battery died? If it is the alarm, what can I do to make it work. Please suggest.

    Thanks

Have you tried to set and unset the alarm? I hate to assume, but do you have the key chain clicky?

The alarm is not going off right now. I have that "keyless" entry thing. Please advise.

Is the sound the horn honking or is it a siren sound? If horn then turning the key in door should kill it. If siren then its aftermarket alarm. Look for a small black button under driver side dash about the size of pencil eraser. Turn key on then press button for 1 second, then it should start.
