    Advise for a friend
I have a friend... she is 17 and happens to be one of my best friends! Her mom does NOT like me and has prohibited her from talking/hanging out with me. What should we do? She and I have been friends since 3rd grade & it sooo hard not to be able to talk to each other! But she doesn't really want to go against her moms decisions! HELP!

Erm what I personally would want to do is , try getting your friend and have both of you have a chat with her mum. I think its better for you to come clear with your honest feelings since both of you are best friends. This way , hopefully her mum would come to respect you.

and yah , good luck! =)

I agree, you should contact the mother and ask to come and speak with her. Sit down the three of you and talk it out.

"What can I do as a friend to your daughter to provide you some sense of safety?"
"What things about me do you object to that I can work on? I appreciate your feedback."
"Your daughter is amazing and I need her good influence in my life."

You have to get the permission of the mom, so put yourself into a situation that INCLUDES the mom and see if you can get a more positive view into her mind about you. I'm sure you've done SOMETHING to warrant her concerns, so you have to step up and undo the damage.
