    Am Holding H1B visa and staying in US from 1st MArch 2007. What is my resident status?

    Well that depends. I know for state colleges you are considered a resident for tuition purposes, but not a resident. I don't know what you are really asking.

    You are treated as a resident since you arrived in the U.S. on March 1, 2007. You should file Form 1040.
