Oh yeah. I had a friend who wasn't even married to this guy, well he owed back child support. Somehow they went to her account and took out the money causing her to be

Your wages cannot be garnished for a debt you didn't sign on, unless you live in a commuinty property state that holds the debts of one spouse are the responsibility of the other spouse. However, if your wife is a joint owner of your bank account and a creditor obtains a judgement against her, they can secure a writ to attach the entire account.
