Can a man give up all parental rights on his own free will
I was wandering if a man can give up his parental rights to his 3 yr old son,he was never married to her and he doesn't really have any involvement in his life there is a back arreage on child support, the mother is not married.. any suggestions as to how to proceed and is it allowed in Indiana? Thank you for your time

You have to fill out forms, both parents must consent, however, child support will not just become a non-issue, parents giving up rights to the child will still have to pay child support as ordered by the court.

No. The father cannot relinquish his parental rights unless the mother has a spouse willing to adopt the child in his place.
