I'm 8 weeks and I just got over the stomach flu just to get a terrible head cold... my doc said not to use sudafed, because of the new ingredients that have been added are not good for the first trimester... benadryl just doesn't seem to help... what can I do... I am miserable...

When I was pregnant with my daughter I too got the stomach flu and horrible bronchitis OVER AND OVER! It was miserable! My doctor told me I could take Robitussin. Just the kind with NO letters after the name. Straight Robitussin. You can ask your local pharmacist for help finding it if you need it. I hope you get to feeling better! Lord knows that pregnancy can be miserable enough without being sick! Let me know if you have any other questions... no matter what they may be!
