Can someone explain how to send an e-mail invoice w/ PayPal?
I have a merchant account w/ PayPal but I do not have a website. (I used to have a website available through one of my suppliers and I used the PayPal shopping cart on that to receive credit card payments from my customers when they made a purchase) but now I have changed my business and want simply to use paypal to e-mail my (brick and mortar)service business customers an invoice that they can pay on-line using paypal and have the security of knowing they don't have to give me their credit card numbers or they can use a bank account to pay if they don't have a credit card and I don't want to take a check and not know if it will bouce or not.

Please explain at 'dummy' level of understanding! I go into merchant accounts and can't figure out what I need to do! (BTW I know how to sell on the on-line auctions, etc. as again it's all done for me with a Pay Now button. But I want to generate my own invoice and send it in an e-mail.) Hate calling Paypal (it is at times a 'language barrier' if you know what I mean)

Once you sign into your paypal account, you can "invoice" the customer. They will receive the invoice via their email. The email will contain a link which they click to sign into their paypal account, and, hopefully, pay.
Money is transferred from their account to yours. I hope this was useful. :)

From you home page, the 4th tab to the right is Merchant Services. Under Manage Payments, clear down near the bottom of the list is Send Invoice.

And I certainly can't blame you for not wanting to call them. :-)
