I have been noticing that my electric oven and electric dryer smell like butane. So much so that I took a blanket out of the dryer the other night and it smelled like butane. Anyone have any ideas? They are both electric.:confused:

Not the answer but I have the same issue, smells like a fuel/gas odor. I do not have Gas only ELECTRIC. I am going to call the Electric company and GE to ask about this.
