Does anyone have the correct replacement V belt part # for an MTD 42" cut Yard Machine 7 speed ride on mower? I recently bought a 954-04060B and it promptly cut it in half!

Can anyone assist?

You may not have had the belt routed on the correct side of a belt guard. Was there any burning smells, or smoke?

Thanks. I didn't notice anything like that. I've just had a new one re-installed by a guy from the Mower shop. Fingers crossed!

The correct Part # is 954-0371A

I have an MTD mower purchased from sears Model 13AL675G62, and the sears website sell this part for $46.00 ouch. I have the 42" deck
