How can I get rid of geckos in my home.

I have lots of geckos crawling all over the walls and ceiling of my thatch roof house. People say they are good because they eat bugs, which is true.
But they also poop all over everything and sometimes fall on you and scare the wits out of you.

I can not stand it anymore and want them gone forever.

None of these ideas work. The roof is thatch so they can get in and out of the building as they please. Also thatch is a great place for them to hide. I tried sticky rat traps and that did not help much. I did catch a snake once :)
I will try wrappping fly paper arouond where they run and see if that works.
