The Atlantic City Housiing Authority has increased it's flat rents (ceiling rents) on all of its units, for example a two-bedroom was raised from $600 per month to $1,035, is this legal? And what can we do to get this decision recinded?

The Housing Authority won't do anything without approval from their Board of Commissioners. In my agency they meet monthly (check w/ your H.A.). I think that if a bunch of upset tenants showed up at the next meeting it will at least get them thinking (I don't know if it can be resinded). If you don't get a positive response, contact your local media (news/newspaper). Public agencies hate negative publicity!
