Can I get child support even though my baby won't have his father's last name? I was with this guy for ten months and he ended up being a liar and cheater amongst other things. He wants to be involved but I'm not sure if he'll pay child support. He will probably just help buy things for the baby at the beginning but what about in the long run? What rights do I have if the baby has my last name and not his?

Last name does not matter. Get a paternity test and then if it is proven he is the father, legally, you can go to court and file for child support from him, different last name or not.
