How do you make someone pay what they are ordered to pay you?
I was the victim of a hit and run accident in Sept. of 2001. I know it may be too late, now, but when I found this site, I thought I might ask if there is any way I can ACTUALLY get the $500 he was ordered to pay me. I have contacted the DA, the judge, and the Dept. of Revenue, where I was referred to, since the driver was no longer on probation after a period. The Dept. of R. told me they cannot give me info about him without a signing of the power of attorney... in other words, they were not going to help me, either. Meanwhile, he has paid only $32.50 of the amount. Any recourses left that I can stilll take?

    Hello cupcake:

Nope. You let it go too long. The statute of limitations has run out.
