    Non biological step parent
My ex husband was added to my 2 1/2 year olds birth certificate after we married. The biological father was an uninterested party. Now divorced after a less than 5 year marriage, he has been emotionally abusive towards my child, rejecting him, leaving him at the door and only taking "his kids", telling my son whenever he asked for something to tell "mommy's boyfriend" to get it for you or telling me to tell Biological father to get it. He has been continually harassing me making false allegations, taking me to municipal court, interfiering with my job and my child care whom I pay in advance (he drops off out 2 other children to her after his overnight). He is now fighting me taking his names off the birth certificate and changing my son's name to my maiden name. I have changed my name as well. He is only doing this to harass me, and not at all interested in the welfare of my son. He has accused my son of sexually touching his younger sibling, and had him investigated, along with myself and my boyfriend. How do I get him out of our lives?

Well a couple things, first he should not have merely added his name to the birth certificate, this was a fraud on your and his part, if you both new this was not true, the only legal way was for him to actually adopt the child.

So depending on where you live, I wouild assume the divorce has been bitter and he does not want to also pay child support for a child that was not his And most likely if your state allows the change, he will be allowed to take his name off the deed.

And you will need to prove the ex boyfriend as bio father and get child support form him.

This is the legal side of the question

Now if he was the child's "father" for many years, he should feel as a father and want to be acting as the father, so he is being very morally wrong on this.
