Why is my period late? I am 5 days late on having my period not pregnant and have not taken birth control for years. My period has always come between the 8-10. I have had cramps, sensitive breast as though I do have my period but it has not come. About 6 months ago I had a pap and they found abnormal cells. It came out to be nothing but I do have to have a pap every 6 months for the next 2 years. Could this have any effect if so why did it take 6 months before it effected my period?

Are you positive you are not pregnant?
If so, perhaps you are just stressed, and that is keeping your period from starting. I would suggest trying to relax and waiting a little longer, and if it still doesn't come, call and make a doctor's appointment.

Im positive I'm not pregnant no sex is a guarantee that I'm not I'm hoping its just stress but still no period and I made a doc apt for Monday.
