Hot water stopped running in bathroom faucet
Now I've been doing a little reading of similar problems in the blogs and suspect I have an airlock. Here's what's going on... While the water was running, in the hot position, it spontaneously stopped. The hot water is working in the shower and the kitchen -- the only other outlets. I have a single lever, single spout style faucet. How can I remedy this myself? My plumbing budget is maxxed out for the year, please help?

    Hi Newold:

Hey, the hot side of faucet is clogged with something or the cartridge is defective... will need to shut off water at shutoffs under sink if possible and then get into the faucet and check it out.

I posted a picture of a delta single handle to give you an idea of what is involved in getting into these things... Some have seats and springs like this one (#4 in pic.), other faucet types have cartridges.

If you have the name of your faucet let us know and we will see what we can do to come up with a pic. For yours (no promises... but we get lucky sometimes)... let us know... Mark
