Why Is he doing this to me
okay, so my boyfriend broke up with me a couple weeks ago, he said that the reason why he was breaking up with me was because he has a lot of problems in his life and he doesn't want me to get involved but before that, we were talking about moving in together I'm from another town but its only 20 minutes away. He was the one that came up with the idea. After we talked about it and I agreed to the question that's when he started acting weird he was really talking or calling me as much, so days went by where he would call but make the conversation short and say I'm tired I'm going to bed talk to you later, and we would stay up for hours talking on the phone even when we would hang up with each other he would call me back in less than 5 minutes and say I want to talk more even though we were very tired. The first time we slept together he told me he loved me and never wanted to let me go he was head over hills or at least that's what I thought. So for days went by and evrything was going good until he stopped calling me and wasmt textin as much so I didn't bother calling or texting him for 3 days when I finally text him and asked what was going on he said that he's very frustrated that he couldn't see his daughter and his x told him that he wasn't the father of their baby he was very hurt and then after he tells me what was going on that's when he was acting weird I can understand what he's going through that I can except. So when I finally gte a hold of him he tells me that he can no longer be with me and he is truly sorry so I left it at that we still talked after that until he calls and tells me that he still loves me and he misses me and was starting to call me baby again so I asked what he wanted and he said he just wants to be friends but he still loves and cares for me my question is why is he doing this to me and does he truly loves me or is he just playing games? Do you think there is someone else?

My ex tells me the same thing that she loves and cares for me and just want to be friends so I ask her to tell me that it's completely over and there's no chance of us in the future and she says she can't say that. So I take it she just loves my company while she has her cake too. So I'm starting no contact with her.

I don't know about him, but I'm only saying this as another guy. I would do what he does, if I wanted to keep a girl on a short leash, give her enough to retain her interest/attraction, but buy myself some time to sort things through without obligating myself and giving myself a safe exit if I needed it.

It doesn't matter what his issue is, the bottom line is he isn't wanting a relationship with you, and you should look elsewhere.

As a guy, the things he says aren't nearly as reliable as what he does. Judge and believe his actions.

He said "I love you" after sex, I would have translated that as "that really felt good, hope we do it again soon."

He said "let's move in together" then became distant, aloof, and then broke up. Translation: "I can't believe I suggested that...oh my gosh..."

Guys really suck usually at verbal skills. Trust their actions.

This guy broke up with you, so that's pretty reliable. Time to chin up and move on... it doesn't matter if he's seeing some else already. I hope he is, now you can move quickly away.

No fretting, no anger, this is all just real-life happening. You could just as easily have been the one to realize that the relationship wasn't what you wanted, right? Not every dating endeavor, even long ones, is required to be permanent.

Now there's an idea. Something to add to my signature? Hehe.

JBeau's Relational Translation Matrix - or Transverbalizer - or Femachonator?

that would be a funny thread, huh? Stump the Femachonator. People post a phrase from their relationship and I tranverbalize it for them from feminine to macho or vice versa.
