    Defective bathtub trap
I am in a 6th floor condo. The tub trap does not hold water for more than a day yet does not appear to be leaking.
Sometimes high winds will drain the trap which is understandable, but this occurs even on calm days.
The tub drain is about 6 feet from the vertical stack. There are about 13 othe tubs, 28 sinks and 14 toilets on this stack in this 8 story building.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hey Bruce,
Sure sounds like the vacuum caused by the wind over the vent is pulling the trap seal right out of your tub. The solution would be to show this post to the Condo Association and strongly suggest that they cap the vents,(see image) to prevent this from happening again. Good luck and please keep me informed of events. Tom
