    Hi:

    Appreciate your help in this.

    Other than first year choice is there any way where can I file 2007 status as resident . My stay in 2007 is less than 183 days..

    I file as individual and then can I amend as married filing jointly some where in July.my wife will get SSN in may first week.

    If you amend, the First Year Choice provisions STILL apply.
