I was wondering if anyone can help me by telling me if they think a 1993 sohc engine can fit in to a 1996 civic frame?if so what do I need to change?

Yes, all D series engines (like D16A6, D16A8, D15B2, D16Z6... ) have the same mounting points. So it will bolt right in. Problem you will run into is the wiring. Your car is OBD-II, and 93 engine was OBD-I. So you'll have to change the ECU and wire harness.
