    Claim Moving Expense Eqnuiry
    Hi all,
My case is F1 student with OPT 1099-MISC income, I graduated last year at Jul. and moved to NY. I was wondering whether I can fill out 3903 to claim moving expenses? Becase when I moved, I didn't find job, I am double can I use this form?

Besides, do you guys know any forms for expense of finding jobs?

    Thanks in advance.

May be or may be not. Yes, you moved.
If you move to a new place, you must work for minimum 39 weeks in a year as employee.
Since you received, 1099-Misc, you are not an employee. You must work at the new location for minimum 78 weeks in 2 years.
So if you think that you will meet this condition, then you can deduct moving expenses. If you deduct now and later don't fulfill this condition, you will need to file amended tax return.
