I recently added a small guest room to the side of my house to rent out. I want to add a third toilet to my existing sewer line myself. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

And will this toilet be on a outside wall? Does your house have a basement? How easy is it to get from the main to the location of the new toilet? What is the material of the drainage pipes" How old are they? Back to you, TomQuote:

Hi JP:
You would need to find the main sewer drain line and connect into that with a 4x3 wye (if 4") and then run a 3" pvc pipe out to addition (cleanout at all changes of direction, if possible, and where you connect the 3" pipe into the main drain line). You would install a toilet and a sink off that line. The toilet vent can probably act as a wet vent for the lavatory. Hang the pipe every four feet (code requirement)
That vent would need to run full size 2" to attic and connect into other 2" vent or larger...OR would need to penetrate the roof 2" by itself (18-24 inches above roof line).
Let us know if you need more... Mark
