    Loose Kitchen Faucet handle
Hi, I have a single handle kitchen faucet which when I turn on the water, it's loose to the point where sometimes gravity will pull the handle back down into the off position. The securing screw is tight and does not wiggle. The whole mechanism seems fine except for its resistance to stay on.

Would this be a new Moen faucet? Regards, Tom

No, it's a PF type faucet. I'm not sure of the model. It came with our place when we moved in 2.5 years ago. We were the first to move into this new condo building.

When I first installed my Moen kitchen faucet I had the same problem. The handle just wouldn't stay up. I contacted the company and they told me it was the lubricant they lubed the cartridge with. They advised me to give it a week or so for the "O" rings to swell. It took a week but handle stays up now. That's about the best I can do. Give it some time. If it still continues to dropdown then click on back. Good luck, Tom

I told you what was wrong. Simply replace the cartridge and thanks for the reddy!
