Hi, I have a sundance Caprio spa. I have run a 40 amp GFCI breaker from the main panel to the shut off box near the spa. I wired the GFCI breaker by connecting 2 hots, red&black (#8 copper) connecting the white pigtail to the neutral bar in the box and a ground from the ground bar in the main box to the bar in the switch box connecting through to the ground lug on the panel of the spa. So now what I have is 2 hots and a ground in the shut off box. The reason for no neutral is that the tub has no connection for a neutral. It is a 3 wire connection , one being ground. As I follow my diagram I can get the tub to run and heat at the same time. So I am assuming that the heater and the motor are both using 120 each. I can not get the Gfci to trip by pressing the trip button. I have also connected a ground rod to the Ground/bonding lug at the box as per the spa wiring directions.
