How To Tax Filing For My Son, L2 Visa
    Hi,

My husband is L1 visa,my son and I are both L2 Visa.
When we filing Married Filing Jointly for 2007 tax, we got a problem.
It needs my son's SSN. But the social security office said my son can not get a SSN.
    How should we do now?

    Please help.

    Thanks a lot.

    Maggie:

You need to submit Form W-7 to apply for an ITIN for your son, along with a notarized photocopy of his passport. These forms need to be submitted with the tax return at either your local IRS office or at the ITIN Processing Center in Austin, Texas.
