I am on the pill Yaz for about 9 months now and I have never had any breakthrough bleeding before. I only recall taking my pill maybe an hour or two late on one day but Ive done that in the previous months too with no consequence. Im not supposed to get my period for another week but I have light spotting that lasted about 2 or three days. Can this be implantation bleeding?Is it possible that I can be pregnant?

Implantation bleeding is a rare phenomenon that has yet to be proven with medical science to be what people thing it is. It's possible that you are pregnant, but I wouldn't put money on it. I would wait until your period is due and test. Until then, I would call your doctor and say that you were at a pregnancy risk and ask if you should discontinue the pills until you know.

It is possible to get pregnant on the pill. But, it is also possible that the spotting has nothing to do with pregnancy and could have something to do with your birth control medication, or another reason. I would call the doctor like charlotte234s was saying and ask what you should do about the pills. Take a pregnancy test if you are late. I think it is more likely that the bleeding is not caused by pregnancy in your case.
