    Why is my 16 year old cross jack russell drinking lots of water?Should I be concerned?:(

    My in laws cat drinks lots because it diabetic, that may be a something to think about

    I think you maybe should be concerned cause there is such a thing as water toxic
    Where you can drink yourself to death.
    He could have an electrolyte imbalance or something so ask the vet.

    Farmerjohn is right too it could be a sign of diabetes

    At 16 years old, this is a geriatric boy! He definitely needs to see the vet. Increased water consumption can be a sign of kidney problems, diabetes, infections, or other serious problems. Occasionally older dogs have a problem similar to Alzheimer's in people, and their eating/drinking or sleep/wake cycles can change dramatically.
    It may turn out to be nothing major, but an ounce of prevention..
