    1099C is incorrect
    I received a 1099C that the amount on that does not agree with the
    Settlement really was. How do I get fixed or can I ?

    You need to contact the issuer of the Form 1099-C to determine HOW they came up with the figure.

    More than ikely, they added the interest which accrued between the date you agreed and the date the debt was actually forgiven.
