My 1992 Honda Accord Shuts down while driving!
I have been reading everything I can find on this problem. My Honda may be warm or cold and it occasionally takes 3 to 6 attempts to get it started. It seems as though it is not firing when this happens. It has also shut down while driving. In each case it has been within minutes of being started. I am thinking it is not a heat issue. I have listened for the 3 clicks from main relay and watched check engine light. This seems to be working fine. I can hear fuel pump for 2 seconds. I tested coil with ohmmeter and it tests okay. I switched ignitors with a totalled 1992 accord. No change. When car dies while driving I lose all electronics. No radio, no fan, no dash lights. I am thinking I have a worn out ignition switch. Big enough job to change this, with airbag and steering wheel removal. Am I on the right track?

Try cleaning the main ECM ground on the thermostat housing and resetting the ECM, but pulling the BACKUP Fuse in the under-hood fuse box or disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 seconds. If the problem continues, I would install a new coil and igniter (be sure to coat the back of it with heat transfer silicone grease), because of the age of your Accord.
