My Kenmore washer model # 110.2483220 is not agitating properly. It is still agitating but not like it should. When I press down on the agitator it works again, when I lift it, it skips. Can you tell what is wrong and how to fix it?

Replace the cams (dogs) Easy and cheap fix. Remove the fabric dispenser cap the bow ite cap. Under that you should find a 7/16' bolt to remove. Now remove the agitator and separate the the agitator and replace the cams. Less than $15.00 and about 30 min to replace
