    Toilet won't flush correctly
We have lived in this house for a year now. About 6 months ago our second toilet started acting up. We have 2 young kids. So I did what every father did and asked what they flushed. And I got what every father gets as an answer Nothing. Well I think they were right. I had a plumber out about 2 weeks ago and he broke the toilet and replaced it. He was here for well over 3 hours on a Sunday and only charged me for 1. Here is the problem. It still does not flush correctly. I just changed all the guts inside the toilet. THe toilet fills with water forms the tornado suction and stops just above the bottom and does not complete the final suction leaving the waste still in the bowl. We have 2 toilets and if your thinking it does it to both your 100% wrong. It has worked just fine since day 1 and no problems out of it.

THe house we live in was origanly built in the 1840's renovated in the 1950's with the addition of the problem toilet then renovated again in 1994 with the additon of second perfect toilet. I am lost at what to try and came about this site doing a search on what to do with toilets from hell. Would some one please help me out?

First off thanks for the speedy reply to both of you. You could be on my pit crew lol. Thanks for the link biggsie. I adjusted the water level to just below the handle opening hole and it finally flushed correctly. The toilet had a ball with screw adjustment. The toilet was new/never used but a 1994 model he had around the shop. Hey I can't blame him for saving a buck he was nice to not charge me for 3 hours of work on a Sunday! That is why I changed the guts. I can set the water level higher than before and it works. Thanks for the help to both of you.
