    New Toilet Installation
I understand that the distance from the center of the toilet drain to the back wall needs to be around 12". What are the distance requirements from the center of the drain to side wall (or object)? and to front wall (facing the toilet) or object? I appreciate a response!

When we lay out a bathroom we center the toilet between the tub or shower and the vanity. My toilet's centered in a alcove in the master bath that measures 29 inches from wall to wall. The distance in front can be anything you wish it to be. The only code requirements that deal with square footage are handicapped stalls in comerical buidings. Regards, Tom
