    Venting toilet with 1/8 bend?
Looking at the attached, I know an 1/8 bend is 22.5 degrees, does this mean the vent would be 22.5 degrees off center right? This configuration can utilize a clean-out and may serve as a vent for shower and vanity?

What if I put in a wye just downstream from wye shown to pick up 2" from shower and vanity. Would this be OK?

I don't understand the question. A quarter bend = 90 degrees, A eighth bend=45 degrees and a sixteenth bend = 22 1/2 degrees. If you took off with a eighth bend the pipe would 45 degrees off from the ventical.

Not so! In fact by my code you don't need it at this spot. More about that below.

No it wouldn't be Ok. Your vanity would have a illegal "S" trap and you would be discharging a najor fixture past a unvented minor one. Let me show you how most bathrooma are roughed in for drainage and venting.
Most bathroom groups are roughed in like this.
Toilet connects to sewer main or the stack vent. Lavatory connects to toilet drain and runs a vent off the top the stubout tee out the roof or revents back into a dry vent in the attic.. The toilet wet vents through the lavatory vent and the tub/shower connects to the lavatory drain and is wet vented by it. This is a normal rough in and is acceptable both by local and state codes and also The Standard Plumbing Code Book in 90 percent of the country. Check your local codes.to make sure you're not in the excluded 10 percent.. The vent off the lavatory may be run out the roof or revented back into a dry vent in the attic or if you're reventing back into a fixtures dry vent you must make your connection at least 6 inches over that fixtures flood rim.
    Good luck, Tom

    An 1/8 Bend Is A Term For A 45 And Not A 22 1/2 This Is A 1/16 Bend ?
And Your Diagram Illistrates . The Proper Way To Vent A Fixture ? In This Case A Water Closet It Shows That A Vent Should Be Before The Fixture And In The Case Of A Water Closet Not Less Then 2 Inches In Diameter By Most All State And Local Codes , Also The Vent Should Never Be Less Then A 45 Deg At The Run Of The Stream ? And If I'm Understanding Your Question Correctly ?
You Can Vent A Shower In The Vertical Part Of The Vent Stack As Long As It Is At least 6 Inches Of Your Highest Rim Of A Fixture Or A Minimum Of 42 A.f.f.

    Good Luck , Rich

Plumberguy, Welcome to the plumbing page. You are correct that this would be the proper way to vent a toilet but he also asks,

He wants to use the toilet vent as a vent for the vanity and shower. No mention of a lav vent or wet venting the shower. You can't do that and stay in code because, as I've stated,

Or did you catch something I'm missing. Regards, Tom
