    Information on W2 form
What does the CAVDI represent on the line 14 of my W2? I live in California and would like to know what is stands for.

I think it is a typing error and should be CALDI for California Disablity Insurance. I know of nothing on the W-2 that is CAVDI.

CAVDI is not a CA disability insurance. CAVDI is California Voluntary Plan Disability Issurance it has many different abbreviations CAVPDI, VPDI OR VDI. Since it is a VOLUNTARY plan, it is not mandatory contribution to CA-State Disability Fund (CA-SDI). So it's not deductible on Schedule A item 5 box.
