I am looking for a movie that I watched when I was a kid with my mother... I was around 6-8 so it would be in the 1980's... I don't remember much about the movie or if it was even a movie or a TV series... but I remember it had a black family in it.. and the baby stuck scissors or something in to the outlet and the child died I think... then I remember the mom was sitting in the bathtub in shock and another woman was bathing her.. thats all I remember.. please help if you can!

I remember a mini series I think it was that was similar to that. I'll have to look it up and get back to you. The two women I think were sisters and it was based on african american trials and friendships.
