    Outlets not working
    Hi There,
I just moved in to an older home and my outlets are not working however, nothing is tripped on the breaker. I tried resetting both outlets in the kitchen and still nothing. I am a single girl who is afraid of getting ripped off by someone; I KNOW NOTHING IN THIS AREA!! Can you tell me why this is happening and what would need to be done to rectify the problem. Thanks for your time.

Did they ever work? What do you mean "I tried resetting both outlets"?
If they used to work, but recently stopped, there should be an easy solution.

Let me know more details and I'll share my wisdom :p

I take it that you mean that you have GFI outlets in the kitchen and you are pressing the test and reset buttons. If you do that and the outlets do not have a click to them, just a mushy feeling, you do not have any power to them. You also said that no breaker are tripped. Breakers do not always move completely to the off position when tripped. Try reset the breaker by manually moving them to the off position, then back to the on position.
