Many thanks to Tom and Fr. Chuck for responding to my question about hooking up a portable washer to a sink that also has a sprayer hose, by suggesting that no problem exists in that regard. That is great news!

However, I have another problem. I followed instructions that came with the tap adaptor and unicoupler exactly, and attached the washer-dryer's hose. When I turned on the tap to check for leaks as instructed, there was a leak that seemed to be coming from the unicoupler. THEN: the unicoupler uncoupled! I turned off the water, recoupled, and turned on the water again at a lower pressure. The leaking increased. So here I am again with having spent $1,500 on a machine I cannot use.:confused: :confused:

Maybe they sent me a defective unicoupler? Maybe I need to buy some Teflon tape to prevent leaks from the unicoupler? Any advice you can provide would be a big help.

Can you scan and send me the details on conecting to a kitchen sink tap and perhaps a digital picture of the tap adapter and uncoupler ? I pulled the installation instructions but it told me to connect to a cold water hose bib that's fed by a 3/4" supply.
I warns against overtightening on the instructions but says nothing about connecting to a kitchen sink tap spout. Can you shed some light on this?

The only info. I've been able to find on my leak problem is here:

This site doesn't have a picture of my unicouple. Theirs come with hoses. My hose just attaches to the end of the unicouple. They sell "repair kit" for my unicouple, but I refuse to pay to repair any part of something I just spent $1,500 on. I'll send back the defective unicoupler if necessary.

If you click on Quick Connect Faucet Adaptor, you will see the unicouple with the tap adaptor on top of it.

Hi Mera,

Almost lost you over here on page 2. Turn the faulty adapter in and get a new one. You don't fix those, you replace them. Good luck, Tom
